Marble cleaning, travertine cleaning, saturnia and limestone cleaning.

When you installed or purchased your property with high investment marble, travertine, saturnia or limestone, you took on a maintenance necessary floor. To help preserve the beauty of your floor in between the required professional maintenance services, you should clean your floor with a neutral floor cleaner or plain old liquid green palmolive dish detergent. They are mild and non aggressive on the floor. Do not use things such as vinegar, fabuloso, pinesol, bleach, etc. as they are a bit more aggressive on sealers and the finish.

To put liquid sealer or finish on stone floors???

It may seem like a good idea at the time to put a liquid type sealer/finish on your travertine, marble or limestone floor in order to give it a shine. This is one of the worst things you can do to a stone floor and when you realize how bad it becomes and looks in the future, removing the product from the floor in order to polish it properly will be a very labor intensive and costly process. Do it right the first time and avoid an expensive mistake.

Saving money or not on your floors??

Trying to do your floor on your own is understandable to save money. Even hiring a contractor to strip a stone floor that has a cheaper price, but uses acid to do the work. It is part of my business unfortunately to try to fix these kinds of mistakes. It will usually cost you more money in the long run. If you do not know what you are doing, do not attempt it.
Common sense would tell you acid is not good or safe to use on stone floors, so stay away from the cheaper contractor who will damage your floor. Sometimes it just cannot be fixed and you will have to live with the result. Take care of your floor from the start the right way and they will continue to look beautiful for the life of your home or business. For more info visit our website.
